Established in 1881, the "CGSC" has played a decisive role in the education and training of officers in times of war and peace. 34,639 of this UNCIRCULATED coin were struck at the West Point Mint. It is comprised of .900 (90%) silver and .100 (10%) copper, with a diameter of 38.1mm and a weight of 26.73 grams. The obverse of the coin shows Generals George C. Marshall and Dwight D. Eisenhower against a striped background with the 5-Star insignia above their heads. Inscriptions include "GEORGE C. MARSHALL", "DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER", "IN GOD WE TRUST", "2013", and "LIBERTY". The reverse features the Leavenworth Lamp with the heraldic crest of Fort Leavenworth on its side. The obverse was designed by Richard Masters and sculpted by Joseph Menna. The reverse was designed by Barbara Fox and sculpted by Joseph Menna.
