I believe she had money at one time because they were eclectic and very desirable. She knew that I loved them and would love to have them sometime. She displayed them in that space lots of kitchens have between the top of the cupboards and the ceiling of the room. She had hundreds of them. When she was getting ready to move to a smaller apartment, she came to me and asked if I wanted to buy them. Purchasing them for much more than I generally spend, I bought the entire lot about 7 years ago. I've had mine displayed in the same spot. Not a great idea as they did accumulate some of the grease from the kitchen even though I don't fry things. Well, I find that I've been downsizing and selling off my collectibles. I'll be listing these in the very near future and like I said, there are lots. So keep me saved if you like rare tins. This listing is for 2 smaller tins with Real Maple Syrup from Vermont - 2 different companies. The taller one is from Maple Grove Farms of Vermont and held 9 fluid ounces - it is now emplty. The other is shaped like a cabin and is from Absolutely Pure Maple Syrup - also in Vermont. It is a miniature at just 8.45 fluid ounces.
