Description: NICE pair of vintage Huey Long books! The first book is "My First Days in the White House" by Huey Long, Hardcover, 1935, 1st Edition. It has no dust jacket and includes 3 vintage newspaper clippings about how Huey Long quit the Washington DC social world because they had poor manners. There is a name written on the front page at the top, and an imprint which reads, "Library of John T. Adams". There is also a small bookseller's tag on the back page from Shreveport, Louisiana . It has foxing in the interior, as is usual. The spine is tight, the cover has areas of light discoloration and there is creasing to two blank pages in the back. It has several pages of great illustrations throughout the book. Overall, it's a very nice copy of this scarce book. The second book, "Favorite Huey Long Stories", edited by Dr. Hugh Mercer Blaine, 1937, softcover is in overall good condition with an inscription written on the first blank page. The cover has light soiling. The interior is clean and like new. You get both books for one price! See photos for condition. Shipping in the US is FREE.
