Description: Funny story…I have been “freshening up” dolls from my mother’s 90s collection and when I got to this brunette Barbie, she was wearing a hand-crocheted white dress with matching hat and handbag—hideous. I had pulled a black and white dress from the bin for her to wear, but I noticed the crocheted handbag was stuffed with something, and when I unbuttoned it, out popped the yellow Sweetheart Barbie dress, so, I “freshened it up,” got it back on the doll it was made for, and did a slight alteration on her heart necklace so it would lie better on her chest. I remembered that I had the pink Sweetheart Barbie dress, tracked down a naked Sweetheart Barbie on Ebay (took me 2 tries), and paired her with her yellow counterpart, making the same necklace alteration. Then I twinned the dolls, giving each: jelly sandals, a sparkly tinsel wrap, silver purses held on the wrist with a beaded stretch bracelet, a silver, wrapped-wire arm cuff, and a hair tie-back. The earrings and heart necklaces are original to the dolls. The Sweetheart Barbies are included. Both have the Superstar Era figure, bendable knees and arched feet. The blonde has a twist ‘n turn waist. Everything comes to you from a non-smoking, Barbie-loving home. Please note that I do not ship outside of the continental U.S. I combine shipping.
