The first photo shown is of the title pager, not the cover (we had this book returned because the buyer thought the first photo was the cover :-). Intact spiral ring and cover. No loose pages. The only noticeable handwriting is on the title page. The Title page reads " Happy Cooking" and is signed by Helen Crafton and Dorothy Lindgren. There is an owner's label attached to the bottom of the inside front cover. Page and inside cover tanning. The cover has minor color fading, corner and edge wear. We try very hard to protect your purchase- books and other paper items get sent in plastic sleeves or bubble wrap surrounded by cardboard, other breakable items get packing peanuts, bubble wrap, or other protection to help avoid postal damage.
