Description: What a fantastic find for the Collector. This is an original woodcut created by Dan Quest, a Tennessee artist who is most famous for his scenes around the Jack Daniels distillery. The woodcut print is one of the oldest forms of graphic art most often inked on Japanese rice paper. This limited edition print was signed in 1975 and is in wonderful shape. The paper sleeve frame folder that holds measures 11" x 14" is a bit yellowed by age. Please see pictures for details. The image measures approximately 12.50” tall by 10.00” inches wide. This being Number 216 of 3000, copies. Lynchburg is a one-traffic-light city in the south-central region of the U.S. state of Tennessee and is best known as the location of Jack Daniel's, whose famous Tennessee whiskey is marketed worldwide. Dan Quest is a Fine Arts graduate of Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh. His woodcuts have been exhibited at the Carnegie Museum, where he has won recognition in shows of international scope. His prints are found in many private collections as well as galleries in New York and Cincinnati. He has also designed woodcuts for book jackets and album covers.
