Description: Vintage Matchbox Models Yesteryear 1909 Thomas Flyabout Blue Y-12 ....Bright D style BoxModel itself is a NEAR MINT/STRONG EXAMPLE....Don't think this one was played with...a few micro ticks on the hood...metal wheels...no major issues noted.(I am NOT a professional grader...these are 70 year old toys that were meant to be played with...not collectibles as they are today...most were never truly mint the day they left the factory) MATCHBOX Style "D" Box....SOLID....All 6 flaps ..no noted major issues...a lite crush(might iron out...I dont attempt to "fix" things)...TOUGH to find SHORT LIVED BOX...Displays very wellGRADE FOR YOURSELF FROM PHOTOS AND BUY ACCORDINGLY. I TRY TO USE THE FOLLOWING:STRONG...NEAR Mint...I NEVER call anything mint...under magnification these were never 100% mint the day the were made...they were cheap toys...almost everything I have ever seen has some flaw if you look hard enough. Just one mans opinion. Unlikely played with...box wearSOLID...a few minor paint ticks or decal issues...lite surface rust on axle(s). Nothing broken or missing..Displayed very well and to the naked eye, many sellers might try to pass as "MIB". Box or very lite play wear.Good...Paint ticks and high edge wear...decal issues, paint flaws or rust issues...might have been played with but has been well kept. Good entry level model and still displays well and fills that missing # in the series. Might not have box or box has issuesCirculated...Paint rubs and ticks/chips obvious to naked eye. Decal issues...axle rust.
