Description: 1945 Intermediate Russian Reader by George Z. Patrick First Edition Hardcover George Z. Patrick was an Associate Professor of Russian at the University of California, Berkeley. He eventually chaired the Department of Slavic Languages. Professor Patrick was born in Nizhni Novgorod on May 19, 1883. He graduated from the Nizhni Novgorod Gymnasium in 1901, the Moscow Historico-Philological Institute in 1905, the Faculté de Droit in Paris in 1911, and the Moscow Law School in 1912. Coming to California in search of a gentle climate, he registered at the University as a graduate student. Book is in Russian and English (mainly for the definitions at the back of the book). In very good condition. Minor shelf wear/corner bends to covers, corners slightly bumped. Pages have light age-toning and foxing. Binding tight.
