Description: For your review is an early to mid 1930's women's heavy weight long overcoat constructed of wool. Has Persian Lamb's Wool applied to the collar and outer side of the pockets. This approximately 90 year old coat is in wonderful condition. Great for reenacting the 1930's and 1940's or for modern wear. It is tagged "Willi, New York, Paris. And with a National Recovery Board tag . This dates the coat from 1933 to 1935. NIRA was set to expire in June 1935, but in a major constitutional ruling the Supreme Court held Title I of the Act unconstitutional on May 27, 1935, in Schechter Poultry Corp v. United States. The National Industrial Recovery Act is widely considered a policy failure, both in the 1930s and by historians today. Regarding condition it has one small separation 3/8"in the wool nap on the collar easily mended. One small moth bite 1/16"on front near button which is difficult to see.
