Description: The Liberty Seated Quarter was designed by Robert Ball Hughes and Christian Gobrecht and minted from 1838 to 1891. The 1860 quarter had a mintage of over 800,000 pieces. The holed characteristic is thought to be drilled and given to others to wear as a necklace or a metal sag in the melting process when making the coin. This is common in all Liberty Seated coins and sure to increase in value in time to come. A great collection piece! All coins posted at the asking price has been thoroughly researched via PCGS and NGC Price Guides as well as the most recent sales through established and prominent auctions. The coin condition has also been researched through these as well. No coin price listing by Bolen Collectables is based on opinion. Thanks for looking!
