Maisack" of the 5th Pennsylvania Regiment on the Continental Line, during the American Revolutionary War (1775)Gary Maisack, newly commissioned Lieutenant in the 5th Pennsylvania Regiment, patiently directs the awkward evolutions of his new recruits in 1775, as he and his NCO's struggle to turn the mawkish farm boys into regulars which will please the eagle eye of the inspector General, Baron Von Stubben. Lieutenant Maisack is fortunate to have been included in the clothing issue of 1779, and in his new regimentals, made in France, and his officer's bearing, forged in the snows of Valley Forge, have made this one time farmer a hardened professional, every bit the equal of his adversary. The American Revolutionary War (4/19/1775 - 9/3/1783) was the military conflict of the American Revolution in which American Patriot forces under George Washington's command defeated the British, establishing and securing the independence of the United States. Fighting began on April 19, 1775 at the Battles of Lexington and Concord. The war was formalized and intensified following passage of the Lee Resolution, which asserted that the Thirteen Colonies were "free and independent states", and the Declaration of Independence, drafted by the Committee of Five and written primarily by Thomas Jefferson, by the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia, on July 2, 1776 and July 4, 1776, respectively. In the war, American patriot forces were supported by the Kingdom of France and the Kingdom of Spain. The British, in turn, were supported by Hessian soldiers from present-day Germany, most Native Americans, Loyalists, and freedmen. The conflict was fought in North America, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic Ocean."Series 77 Miniatures" was founded by Pat Bird and John Tassel to produce 77mm size miniatures (hence the company name); with their only fantasy line released around November 1979. John, however, decided to leave Series 77 to devote full time to the now world-famous Lassett Miniatures. In the early 1990s, Pat Bird decided to retire and sold the company however the new management were unable to make the business a success.Your shipment will arrive via USPS Priority Mail (1-4 business days) or USPS Ground Advantage (2-5 business days), after the 2-3 day processing time (upon paid purchase)Shipment(s) sent out of Lemon Grove, California, USAWill be packed very well - READ OUR FEEDBACK!No Returns ***AN INVOICE WILL BE SENT AFTER PURCHASE, WHICH MAY REFLECT A MORE ACCURATE POSTAGE RATE FOR THIS ITEM - DON'T PASS THIS UP YET!
