These shrimp prefer more alkaline water with a higher PH (5-6.4) We recommend a TDS of 120-135 and a temperature around 70 degrees F. These parameters are what our shrimp do well in. Shrimp do best and thrive when they are kept separate from fish. (Any fish that can fit a shrimp in it's mouth will eat it.) This is counter to most advice you will find, but we do not do water changes and have not for the past year. We monitor the water quality and do top-offs with PH neutral water. We also place them in at least 20 gallons with a foam filter, a piece of mopani wood, moss, salvinia minima (floating plant), and hornwort. This allows them to acclimate to a changing environment which does not make them as sensitive as other breeders' shrimp. Shipping Info: Our shrimp are packaged in breather bags with a small amount of live aquatic plants for them to eat and hide in during shipping. The box they are shipped in is well insulated, and normally does not require any additional heating/cooling packs. But shrimp must be taken inside from harsh weather conditions (hot or cold) ASAP for them to survive, please use the tracking number to see when they will be arriving. During times of extreme hot or cold weather, I reserve the right to delay shipment to help ensure the safe transportation of the shrimp. We only ship via USPS Priority Mail 2-3 day shipping on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays only within the Continental United States. We do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska. In the event that you do not receive at least 15 live shrimp, please follow these steps to submit your claim: Take 3 clear pics of any dead shrimp in the un-opened bag next to shipping label within 2 hours of delivery Send a message via Ebay with clear descriptions of what happened to the package to help me diagnose the problem. Allow up to 48 hrs to process the claim. Once the claim is approved, refund will be send to you based on the number of shrimp lost below 15. Please note, in these circumstances, our DOA policy will be voided: Package is unsuccessfully delivered on the 1st attempt (I ship to address listed with Ebay, it's your responsibility to ensure the address is correct). Unable to deliver on 1st attempt, DOA will be voided. Package is left outside for extended period of time during the extreme weather. (Once shipped, tracking number will be provided, it's your responsibility to take them inside as soon as they are delivered. If the package is left outside more than 2 hrs since the time of deliver, DOA will be voided. Package is lost due to package thief.
