Description: Offered here is Toni, a hard-plastic doll created by Bernard Lipfert in 1949 for Ideal Doll Company – she is 14” tall and is marked P-90. She has blue sleep eyes with attached upper lashes, painted lower lashes, there appear to be no eyebrows which would have been pencil thin. The cheeks are gently blushed and lips are cherry red. There is a small flaw on her left cheek Her wig is dark brunette with reverse page-boy – the hair is rolled up and held in place by bobby-pins. The fingernails have been painted by a previous owner. She is dressed in beautiful red, white and blue party dress, cotton petticoat with lace trim, and panties (a few sizes too large for her) of netting. She wears rolled (bobby-sox) sox with red tie shoes. The elastic in the dress sleeves has died and would benefit from replacement.
