Description: Vintage Revell Cooper Cobra 1/32 scale slot car. I built this example circa 1995 or so, detailed and rarely actually raced. Silicone tires and wheels on rear. Weights on chassis to aid handling in tight corners. Axle gear has been updated to give a lower gear ration and more oomph. Body is not painted but the plastic has been polished to a good shine and is detailed with ink and decals as well as the original kit parts such as engine insert. Chassis is monocoque style, with the motor joining the front and rear sections, as for an F1 car and very compact and narrow. I am listing some of the slot cars I built mostly in the 90s, mostly using vintage pieces sometimes upgraded to modern components under vintage bodies. I strove to lighten and lower, all these cars sit lower than their out-of-the-box bredren and in some cases I have used resin or fiberglass bodies that became available at some point. Many have actually seen track time and have been strengthened by tactics such as supergluing the bearings to frame, taping the motor to the frame and sometimes to the body, silicone tires etc, but I have always strove to resemble how real cars look sitting on the track. Often detailing has been done, for instance aluminum tubing for exhaust pipes and fairly detailed driver figure or head. I build static models mostly so a lot of detailing you normally do not see on a slot car has been done to some of the cars I will be listing. There might also be traction magnets added on or integral to the chassis design I chose to use. Grease and/or lube may still be on the gears and therefore some slight grime, but all that should wipe off easily if necessary, or they are ready to sit on the track and burn! See the photos, they are part of the description. Please contact me if you have questions or would like to see more photos. Shipping will be $25 in the US of A including new box and packing materials. Rest assured, I do not plan on making money on shipping so I will refund any serious overpayment (say $2 or more). Will be well packed to avoid damage in post. If you would like to buy this kit but do not live in the USA, please contact me and we can work something out...that will be increased postage to cover a voyage abroad. If you would like to buy multiple items, please message me and I will send an invoice (at least I think I can) with combined shipping. No returns or refunds please, study photos before bidding to assure you want what is offered. Thanks for looking and good luck with your bids.
