Description: Custom NASCAR 1/24 Scale Diecast- Dale Jarrett 1988 #1 Port A Lube Buick Regal Stock Car -Background on this car- This is a 1/24 scale replica of car that Dale Jarrett Ran for Hoss Ellington, in races that Cale Yarborough decided to run in his own #29 Hardees Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. He DNQ at Atlanta in the #1 Buick at Atlanta and raced the #99 for Ralph Ball anr with Port A Lube Sponsorship. However, Jarrett managed to Ran all 29 races in 1988, 8 of which were in the #1 Buick with a best finish of 11th. Despite not cracking the top 10 in the #1 car, he was fast, competitive and generally ran well when his Buick held together. He accumulated other solid finishses in the #1 Buick, such as 16th in the Daytona 500 and 14th at Daytona in July after qualifying on the 1st day with a 17th starting spot. He did score a top-10 in the last race at Riverside, however it was in Cale Yarbourough (if there is interest, I have both diecasts for both Jarrett and Yarborough versisons of the 1988 Hardees Oldsmobile (message me for this or any other diecasts for any other driver) Sadly, after ending the last race of the season in the #1 Buick early in the Atlanta race, Hoss Ellington decided to retire as a NASCAR owner due to health related issues. I also have a diecast of the busch series #32 port a lube 1/24 oldsmobile Jarrett ran in 1988 as well, made with white semigloss paint plus vinyl wrap style decals. message if interested. I plan to post the Hardees cup car and port a lube busch car soon regardless but you can get 1st crack at it by messaging before i post (pictures available). Diecast Version -Donor Car was Revell lumina, stripped paint to metal, added white basecoat and secondary coat of red paint, then added sponsor and tire decals plus contingency sponsor decals. -All waterslide decals -paint is a little dull, decals werent as good as other sets available now, and this was one of my first 1/24 customs I ever did so I have priced it accordingly, with possible room for negotiation. -swapped stock white rims/yellow letter goodyear racing slicks for Chome rims w/ white letter Goodyear racing slicks to match actual stock car's rims/tires -donor box included and item will be quickly/securely shipped. please ask questions before purchase. please feel free to message about customs-I may have it or can acquire/make it.
